Should I Create a Website? Do I Need One?
Websites become a necessity nowadays, to almost everyone: for companies, for different businesses or individuals, even young people have created personal websites with different purposes, for profit, for entertainment or just for being present on the web. Websites can also be considered as “online business cards”. It’s the easiest way to let to know others about your existence.
Before creating a website, there are different factors that one must consider thinking over before doing so, like: website cost, hiring a professional website designer, web hosting, website domain, management of the website and some other minor ones which you enter into during the process.
First, associating with the cost, we must always try to find an affordable host, not spending too much, nor too little. A cheap host does not always symbolize a credible one. An expensive host can have reliability, but why to pay much more for the same or nearly the same services? By personal experience I also saw expensive hosting services having trouble with. Like in any other situations when buying something, we must always look for value for money deals. Also, regarding the efficiency and server/web host reliability, there are many cases of web hosts not providing the service what they should, some of them even shut down the servers and like disappear. If you would like a long-lasting website, keep these notes in mind, so these are the first things for you to look for.
Would hiring a professional website designer be affordable? Is it the best choice? For simple websites, we could always use some already written code, or even use “easy-to-use” programs, as it is relatively simple, but not something special, not something unique. So, when it comes to something more complex (code as well as the look of the website), and when you want something more then just existing on the web, hiring a professional would be the best choice. Not only in terms of design, but security is also a key factor in assuring a quality website. If the website is more complex such as a portal for businesses, security would definitely be one of the most important part of it.
When a website is created, it needs a space on the web commonly called “web hosting”, so people can access your website from anywhere around the world.
To be present on the web and your website to be accessible by anybody on the web you need a unique idetifier name: a domain name. It’s like your own name, just a little bit different.
